It's Done!

It's done and I am done. Finished reading yesterday afternoon. I didn't rush it, I didn't skim it, I took my time. Really enjoyed it and I am happy with the way J.K. Rowling finished it off. It's a little sad that the series is finished, I got so much pleasure out of it the past 5-6 years. I still have the audio version to look forward to and the next two movies.
And I did NO knitting over the weekend. :) I have been a bit wrapped up in Ravelry (are you in yet?? wanna be my friend?:)) but I do have some pictures to post sooner or later. I am sneaking this post in at work so this is all you get for now. :)

I am SO in!

Ravelry just came knocking on my door! Got my invite this morning. What really sucks is that I now have to spend the rest of the day sitting here at work, watching the clock, until I can go home and really get a good look at the wonderness of Ravelry.

Seaweed and Foam

Mystery Stole 3

I am sure most of you (well, you knitters anyway) have heard of the Mystery Stole 3 project. I joined up way back when it was under 1000 and patiently waited for my yarn to arrive and the first clue to be posted. And it happened. The yarn arrived (Zephyr in Blueberry), I picked out my beads, and printed out the first clue. But that was the same weekend my friend Cristy was visiting from Mackamento (Sactown or Sacramento to those of you who aren't in the WC gang) so I wasn't able to get it started until late Saturday afternoon. I still haven't finished the first clue but I know I will be able to finish the new HP book within 24 hours. So, since a clue won't be posted that Friday, I will have plenty of time to catch up. So far, I have enjoyed working on it. It's been a different experience than knitting the Fan and Feather shawl because that was a repeated pattern. This one is not repeated. So, I actually have to pay attention to the chart. Well, only if I want it to resemble what it's supposed to! And for those of you who are unfamiliar, the white line is a lifeline. If I make some major mistake that can't be easily fixed, I can drop down to that line, pick up the stitches and keep on keepin' on.

White Chicks Rule!

My friend Cristy came down to visit last weekend. Once again, we had a wonderful time. :) The following photo is of us flashing our "gang" sign WC which stands for White Chicks. Because we are hardcore like that.
