Total Harry Potter Freak I am!

I don't even care if I only knit one thing out of this book. I must have it! In fact, I would so knit myself a Mrs. Weasley sweater (you know, the one with the big letter on the front?) out of WoolEase Thick n' Quick. I might just wear it around the house but so what!

A word about my lack of blogging. I go through phases of not liking to blog. It becomes a task, a duty. So, I give in to my need to not blog. I also don't blog when the only things I have worked on are the same things I posted about last time. How boring. So, I am coming up against both of these right now. Please do note... I am still working the Rebecca sweater and the Linen Drape top. I will post pictures of them but seriously. Progress pictures are not exciting unless something major is happening! I do have my new 'Next' project to share as well as some new yarn acquisiton. When one comes across a site like ColourMart, how can one Not purchase?? I know, I gave in also. :) So please bear with me, I promise to post. One of these days. With pictures. Good looking ones.

We had a great time. I have many more photos but I am TIRED! I also have knitting to talk about. One of these nights I promise to sit down and do an update post. :) I pinky swear.

Santa Barbara Courthouse

I just wanted to get the toilet paper out of the car!

So, I had these great and lofty plans for my weekend. Sit around, do nothing, knit. Saturday morning I decided to go out downtown and take pictures. Everything went well. Got some great photos, had a lovely lunch down at the beach, even got in a little shopping. I hit the grocery store on the way home for some supplies. I took the first load up to the house and came back for the second load. It was just the toilet paper left. I went over to the passenger side, unlocked the car (don't ask why I locked it in the first place), and the alarm went off. I didn't know I had an alarm. Meaning, I have no remote to shut it off. Called my dad for some sage advice, which was, "Push the little black button under the dash." Well, after a little bit of searching (along with my dad talking and the alarm blaring) I found the black button. Pushed it. Nothing. Pushed it again. Nothing. And to keep this long story short, I will tell you that at this very moment, the car sits in the driveway. Safe. Waiting for the tow truck to come Monday morning to take it away. Because along with the alarm turning on every time I open the door, the car won't start. Which is a wonderful feature, if I were trying to steal it.

So, after having a drink (or two) to calm me down, I had no choice but to sit and knit. :) So I did! I am currently focusing on two projects: the Clapotis (that I tore out last week after deciding I don't wear the full sized ones I have now, why make another one) scarf and the Lacey Hooded sweater from Rebecca. And I know you have seen what a Clapotis looks like. I don't need to show you again. Instead, I give you a close up look at the yarn and colors.

The Rebecca sweater I am making out of Cascade EcoWool in Natural. Very excited to get this one done because it's the perfect style of sweater for our weather. Full of holes. :) I have the back done and am about 1/3 the way through the front.

So, I sit here today, moving ahead with my plan to sit, do nothing and knit. :) I hope your weekend has been as eventful or uneventful as the case may be, as mine.

Why, Hello!

Just a heads up regarding Chauntel's blog... No DSL yet for her. It's turning into an issue of Vonage vs. Verizon. Apparently Verizon isn't wanting to cooperate with Vonage... So, she is still not back on the net and has no idea of when that will actually happen.

Michelle (Michelle, did you change blogs? I tried to find you and couldn't ...), a former Secret Pal of mine asked a question on my Watery Lemon post. What lens did I use? The Olympus 50mm f/2.0 Telephoto Macro ED Lens. It was my birthday present from my dad. The two lenses that came with my camera body were 1. 14-45mm f3.5/5.6 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens and 2. 40-150mm f3.5/4.5 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens. I am really not sure what all those numbers and letters mean, but they do take great photos! One of these days, I am planning on actually getting out into Santa Barbara (instead of just down to my beach) to take some new pictures. Soon. I promise.
