I just don't get it...

I do understand artisitic license and the need to create. I am a crafter, I get it. What I don't get is this stuff. I have admired Pluckyfluff's creations for awhile now but from afar. I don't enjoy spinning so maybe that is partly why I don't get it. Why use stuff like bubblewrap, plumber's tape, wallpaper shreds, etc.? That's the part I don't get. And what do you do with it?? Does this stuff ever get used? Or is it just purely creative and that's it. Just wondering...

I am going to say that it's purely artistic. I haven't seen anything other than hats or small clutches made from yarns like that. It's all odd & mostly a waste of time if you ask me. Once again, not practical= waste of time in Chauntel's World

It's fun to look at, but to knit with must be a nightmare. And what would you make with it? A hat? For sure not! Chauntel's world and my world are in like orbits.

Looks wacky to me, even after spending a year in a contemporary art museum. Looks much like some of the stuff we saw... Can't imagine trying to work with any of that! And I will join my world in orbit with Chaun's and Leslie's!

I don't know...I think it may be a texture thing.

All I can say in her defense is, when I get a package with plastic bubble wrap, I will sit there and pop every last one of those things, when I get the chance. If I don't have the time, I'll save the rest for later.

It might just be like my response to my cousin: WHY would you want to knit socks when you can buy them? Me: Because I CAN!!!, which really means, "How dare you question me?" Yes, I'm that arrogant sometimes. I try not to be, but I am not always successful.
